-
- Try changing the SCSI numbers around, so if the CDROM is earlier in the
- row, change the CDROM to a higher number.
-
- I take it that You only have the Zip drive connected outside the machine, and
- then the HD, and the CDROM drive inside.
-
- Or maby the CDROM and Zip outside?
-
- Anyway, the SCSI chain should be terminated in 2 places, meaning that the
- chain of devices inside the machine should be terminated on the last device,
- and the chain outside the machine should also be terminated at the last
- device.
-
- Try changeing the numbers so that they are in a row like the HD on SCSI
- address 1, the CDROM or Zip at 2, then the last device on 3. It can be that
- the scanning of the SCSI bus takes a long time because of empty addresses.
-
- Some controllers allow setting a device as the last in the chain to speed up
- scanning of the chain, could that be the problem?
-
- If You have already tried all this, then ignore my letter :)
