  15. Try changing the SCSI numbers around, so if the CDROM is earlier in the
  16. row, change the CDROM to a higher number.

  18. I take it that You only have the Zip drive connected outside the machine, and
  19. then the HD, and the CDROM drive inside.

  21. Or maby the CDROM and Zip outside?

  23. Anyway, the SCSI chain should be terminated in 2 places, meaning that the
  24. chain of devices inside the machine should be terminated on the last device,
  25. and the chain outside the machine should also be terminated at the last
  26. device.

  28. Try changeing the numbers so that they are in a row like the HD on SCSI
  29. address 1, the CDROM or Zip at 2, then the last device on 3. It can be that
  30. the scanning of the SCSI bus takes a long time because of empty addresses.

  32. Some controllers allow setting a device as the last in the chain to speed up
  33. scanning of the chain, could that be the problem?
